1. Payment Terms
1.1 For residential customers, payment is made when you order your Monsta Bin on our website, or when you call to book your bin over the phone via credit card. All major credit cards are accepted, over our secure server. Any additional charges for excess tipping fees or prohibited items, will incur a surcharge.
1.2 For trade / commercial customers who have an account with Monsta Bins, payment is due on the 20th of the following month as per the Monsta Bins Credit account contract. If the Customer does not make payment due under this Agreement by the date specified for payment and such failure to comply is not remedied on or before the 14th day after the date on which compliance was due, then the Customer shall pay to Monsta Bins upon demand interest on the unpaid amount from the due date until the date of payment at a rate from time to time specified by Monsta Bins but not exceeding 24% per annum as calculated on a daily basis.
1.3 The Customer shall pay to and costs incurred by Monsta Bins (including legal costs as calculated on a solicitor client basis) in relation to the recovery of any overdue payment and the enforcement of its rights under this Agreement.
1.4 Monsta Bins shall have the right to set off any monies due under this agreement against any amounts due to the customer whatsoever. The customer shall have no right to set off or withhold payment of any amount owed to Monsta Bins whatsoever, whether liquidated, or contingent, against any amounts due by the Customer to Monsta Bins.
2. Additional Charges
Any additional charges for excess tipping fees or prohibited items which incur a surcharge, will be charged to your credit card. Charges will also be applied if we arrive at the address and we can’t pick up or deliver the Monsta Bins outside of our control i.e. Obstacles in front or around the bin, access to the site is too narrow, no access, overhanging trees or obstructions from fencing/buildings, overweight, and incorrect waste.
3. Hire Periods
The hire period for residential customers is four days, however this can be extended with a daily surcharge for each day over and above the four-day period.
The commercial customer hire period is as per the agreed arrangement.
4. Pricing
The price of the Monsta Bins is stated on our website at the time of acceptance of your purchase order, unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing by Monsta Bins. The prices include goods and services tax (GST) and all prices are stated in NZD.
The pricing is based in the information you submitted when booking the bin on the Monsta Bins website. Monsta Bins reserve the right to vary the price if the information provided is incorrect. Our prices include the cost of drop off and pick up of the bin. Additional costs may be incurred if the bin is overloaded or prohibited items as stated on our website are found in the Monsta Bin.
5. Prohibited Items
For environmental reasons, the following items are excluded from disposal in the Monsta Bin skip bin and should be disposed of separately. Excluded Items include:
• Tyres
• Batteries
• Paint and Paint Tins
• Gas Bottles
• Asbestos
• Insulation
• Medical Waste
• Hazardous or Toxic Material
• Solvents
• Liquids
• Oil, petrol or diesel
• Mattresses
• Polystyrene
If any of these items are discovered in the skip bin, Monsta Bins will be charged a significant surcharge (which will vary depending on the item) which in turn, will be passed onto you, the customer.
Clean fill, general waste and hardfill cannot be filled into the same bin. Separate bins will need to be ordered for these three waste types. If you are ever in any doubt, please call our team at Monsta Bins on 09 414 1030.
6. Risk
You will be liable to us as the supplier for any damage that occurs to the Monsta Bin while in your possession, subject to fair wear and tear.
7. Use of the Monsta Bin
The Monsta Bin intended use is for removal of Green, General or Hardfill waste.
Monsta Bins must not be filled past the top of the bin.
Green waste – Grass and Green organic waste, Branches, Leaves, Garden cuttings, Lawn clippings.
General Rubbish – Household Rubbish, Commercial waste, Furniture, Doors
Hardfill/Clean fill – Soil, Concrete* must be smaller than 150mm with no Steel, Bricks, Clay, Ceramic Tiles, Rocks, Stone

Additional charges:
• Overweight charge @ 20c/kg
• Additional daily charge @ $13 p/day (above initial 5 day hire period)
• Prohibited items found in bin
NOTE. There are no weight restrictions for Hardfill / Clean Fill skip bins.
8. Monsta Bin Placement and property access
Our Monsta Bins are not permitted to be located on footpaths or the road, unless a permit from council is obtained. Bins must not be moved from the drop off location on the property. Monsta Bins will not be liable for any damage caused to property if the bin is re-positioned by the customer, and Monsta Bins reserves the right to recover repair costs to our bins that have been repositioned from their original location or damage to our bin truck during the period of hire.
Our bins cannot be lowered over any obstacles or fences.
Site Access for the Monsta Bins:
Monsta Bins cannot be lowered over fences or obstacles. Bins are not permitted on the road or on footpaths unless a permit from the council is obtained. Bins placed on site are not to be re-positioned. We will not be liable for any damage caused to property when re-positioned by the customer.
You will provide satisfactory access for us and our agents at all reasonable times to deposit, inspect, collect/exchange Bins, General Waste, Clean Fill Waste and/or Garden Waste to remove Bins after the hire period.
Satisfactory access includes:
Access: Bins must be placed on a hard and flat surface with access at least 4m wide
Overhead obstructions: ensure Bin placement has no overhead obstructions such as powerlines or awnings. This service requires a safe working height of 4m
Vehicle/Pedestrian Movements: place Bins in areas with minimal pedestrian or vehicle traffic
Exit from site: ensure Bin placement does not require our driver to reverse out of your site on to a high-speed or dangerous road crossing.
9. Cancellation
Monsta Bins will provide a full refund for any bin that is ordered and not supplied by Monsta Bins. If you choose to cancel your Monsta Bin, you must do so 24 hours prior to the delivery of the Bin. If you cancel your Monsta Bin later than this a cancellation fee will apply. Monsta Bins will not provide refunds if we have arrived at the scheduled delivery address and are then turned away.
10. Ownership of Monsta Bins
We always retain ownership of the Monsta Bin. You will not give security over or deal with the Monsta Bin in such a way as to detract from our ownership. You will promptly notify us of any damage to the Monsta Bin and will indemnify us against any damage, loss, claim, injury or defacement to the Monsta Bin resulting from your use.
